Celebrations!

It's New Year's eve, wow, as I've said before, this year has flown by for me but nevertheless I'm really looking forward to 2010! I think it's going to be a great year for South Africa especially with the World Cup Soccer taking place here, can't wait! Well, for the games that is, not for the crowds and traffic!;) Have a great evening tonight wherever you are, happy celebrating!

Goats do roam

A great day trip from Cape Town is an outing to Fairview, a wine estate just outside Paarl. They make delicious wines, amazing goats' milk cheeses and have a lovely, relaxed restaurant. They also have wine and cheese tasting if you don't have time for a leisurely lunch!

Seaside spirit

So Christmas is finally over and I'm hoping you had a lovely time with friends and family. I had a great Christmas with my family in Hermanus, which is, for those of you who don't know, a seaside town about an hour away from Cape Town. I'm quite happy to be saying goodbye to all the Christmas decor and putting it away until next year! Instead I'm now welcoming the cool calm blues of the ocean and sky and enjoying being on holiday at the sea. These photos styled by Christine Rudolph totally capture the mood, absolutely gorgeous...

Out in the country

Doesn't this look idyllic, a huge house with a rambling garden, a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. Growing herbs, painting, what a great lifestyle!

Retro style

I adore this home which I spotted on Marie Claire Maison, it's the home of Emily Chalmers who owns the stunning shop, Caravan, in London, not surprising!
