Bunny love

No, don't worry it's not Easter yet, just feeling some bunny love today! Have a good Sunday, see you all tomorrow again...

Ps Is anyone else excited about the new Alice in Wonderland movie? I can't wait!

AFTER NOTE: After spending the morning putting my rabbit storyboard and this post together, I decided to go for a walk on the mountain. As I was coming home I spotted a fluffy white rabbit sitting outside someones house! Now how odd is that?! You definitely do not ever see rabbits in the streets of Cape Town! I rang the doorbell to see if perhaps their pet rabbit had escaped but apparently it's just a wild rabbit that hangs out in the area! Strange, no?!

Friday tips

Even though it's Friday, I feel I'm in need of some extra colour and a little bit of cheering up. This is the third day in a row that we've had gale force winds here in Cape Town, especially where I live and unfortunately I'm not really a fan of the wind! Anyway these pics are definitely putting me in a better mood, I'd love to have the "flick your positive switch" pic up on my notice board as a daily reminder to keep me focused and positive! Have a lovely day and weekend too, keep happy and inspired!

Cobbled streets and olive trees

Today I'm escaping to the countryside, somewhere idyllic in the Mediterranean, Italy perhaps, will you join me? Let's pretend it's Summer there and enjoy a day basking in the sunshine, taking in the sights and sounds and local cuisine. Vespa rides, olive groves a new wardrobe too, what could be better?

The Kitchen

Just thought I'd quickly share some photos of The Kitchen, a busy eatery in Cape Town serving the most delicious, wholesome food! I visited a while ago and didn't put the pics up because I thought they didn't capture the space well enough. But since I still haven't had a chance to go back and visit again  I thought I might as well, I don't want you to miss out in case you haven't heard of it!

The Kitchen is run by well known caterer Karen Dudley and so you can always expect the best. Quirky vintage decor adds to the warm and homely feel and since it's situated right amongst some wonderful art galleries, it makes for a lovely Saturday outing. Oh and did I mention they have the most amazing almond croissants?!

Soft and dreamy

It's Monday again, are you ready for the week ahead? My weekend was way too short and I didn't get much done thanks to being sick. Anyway I'm feeling better today and thought I'd ease into the week with these beautiful soft, dreamy images...

Most of these are from Sine's lookbook for Spring/Summer 2010 which I came across over at the city sage and couldn't help but want to share. Love the lighting used and of course the clothes! Pop on over to see how Anne combined Sine together with gorgeous bouquets, so pretty.

There's nothing like retro inspired patterns to add some cheer and colour, whether it's wallpaper, fabric or paper, you can't go wrong! How sweet is this first illustration, doesn't it make you think of Summer and happy days?

Some colour lovin

Hello friday, hello weekend! At last, what a relief! I spotted this first pic over at Lolalina, shot by The Sartorialist and have been loving it all week! Love the dress, the sandals, the dog, the setting, the lighting...oh it's all too perfect! Don't you think? My plan for the weekend... to relax-this week has left me feeling exhausted,  to continue tidying up my office- perhaps I'll take some pics to show you, to do some baking- but first I need to buy a scale and lastly to get started on my library book before it expires! Have a great weekend all of you!

If any of you have some time on your hands and want to find out a little more about me, you can pop on over to Out & About Africa! Brandie kindly asked me to take part in her new series and has put together a really great interview! Thanks Brandie!

Birds...

There's something about old wooden birdcages that I just love...and when they're used as decor items not actual cages. Whimsical, old fashioned and oh so pretty. What do you think?

Is this not the prettiest table setting ever? Imagine being here now, without worries or work, just a magical day out in the countryside with friends...
