Maike and Travis are a newly married picture-taking team from Pretoria, South Africa. They are super talented and creative and take the most gorgeous wedding photos. So it's no surprise that their own wedding was a beautiful, creative affair! The wedding was captured by a photographer friend of theirs Otto Schulze, who did a fantastic job, the photos are just incredible. I love the relaxed atmosphere they created, the colourful bunches of flowers and the bunting and of course, Maike's dress. Take a look...

Today's shop feature is on the beautiful ChiCho Bello, another reason why to visit Farriers Centre. You'll find gorgeous lighting and furniture and all sorts of smaller pieces, perfect for adding that personal touch. It's another great place for gift buying, I'm loving all their ceramic jugs!

Dreamy outdoor wedding

You may have seen these photos already but I couldn't help posting them, once again Jose Villa has captured the moment beautifully. I absolutely love Jose's photography, his style is unmistakable, soft and dreamy and he pays attention to the smallest details. If I lived in the states and were getting married, I'd definitely track Jose down! This wedding (by Duet Weddings) looks just about perfect to me, simple yet elegant, relaxed and oh so pretty...

Friday bliss

Ah I'm so glad it's Friday and what's even better is that it's a holiday here today! As soon as I've finished this post, I'm heading off to Arniston (a tiny seaside village) for a lovely long weekend, so exciting! I wanted to say welcome to all my new readers, it's lovely to have you here and also a big Thank You to all of you lovely readers who voted for me in the SA Blog Awards. Unfortunately I didn't make it to the top two in my category but I'm pretty happy with being in the top ten! There's always next year!

It's a gorgeous spring day here, the sun is shining and I've been listening to Alejandro Sanz while I work this morning, trying to soak up some Spanish inspiration. I'm loving his music video with Alicia Keys, 'Looking for paradise'. Anyway wishing you all a fabulous weekend!

Leah Duncan illustration

Loving the work of Leah Duncan, the soft colours and whimsical designs are right up my street. Leah makes the prettiest cushions, tea towels, scarves and prints, all based on her amazing illustrations. I'd love one of her cushions for my bedroom but wouldn't even know which design to choose, they're all so gorgeous!

Wallpaper spotlight: Oh joy! for Hygge & West

I'm sure most of you will know Joy from the incredible blog, oh joy! but did you know that she has collaborated with Hygge & West and designed a beautiful wallpaper collection for them? The Oh Joy! range consists of three designs in various colourways. I absolutely love the large floral design called, Petal Pusher, in white and gold. Glamorous, fun and bold, I think it would be perfect for a large sunlit bedroom with white wooden floors and soft floaty curtains. What do you think? Which design do you like best?

High Tea

Hello friends, did you have a great weekend? I had a relaxing one so I'm feeling ready for the week ahead. It's a bit grey and gloomy here today and I so wish I could be having coffee and cake at High Tea, reading a new glossy mag and pretending I'm on holiday! Sounds good doesn't it?! High Tea is a lovely little coffee shop in Farriers Centre (which I featured last week). High Tea serves delicious breakfasts, light meals and cakes and is the perfect escape from a busy day. Sitting outside at one of their tables, with the scent of jasmine and sounds of water from the fountain, is pure bliss!
