Bredasdorp Square

If you are ever heading out to Arniston or Cape Agulhas, you'll need to go through Bredasdorp and an absolute must is a pit stop at Bredasdorp Square. It's a shop and café as well as bed and breakfast. Set in a beautiful Victorian double story overlooking a gorgeous square, it's a lovely place to relax and of course do a little bit of shopping or search for that special, unique gift. It's literally a treasure trove full of decor pieces, from lighting to vases to candles, kitchenware, stationery and more. It's all perfectly styled and feast for the eyes so make a note of it for your next countryside trip!

Pink power

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a good weekend? Are you ready for the week ahead and the arrival of June? I'm not sure I am, I have a bit of a stressful week ahead, so wish me luck!

On a brighter note, literally, what do you think about pink in fashion? I love this colour but tend to always wear it in smaller doses or accessorise with it. I love how all these girls wear it in such a bold way. And it seems there is a trend to combine pink with either camel or green. Such a fun look, perfect to cheer up a winter's day. What do think, are you brave enough to step out in a hot pink outfit?!

Dreaming of lace and sequins

Today's post may not be very creative or original but it is full of gorgeous pics! Absolutely beautiful dresses  in delicate fabrics, lace and sequins from the latest spring collections. Colour blocking

On Saturday my sister and I popped into haas coffee shop in the Bokaap and had such a great time, it's a beautiful little spot serving up the tastiest treats and fabulous coffees and course there's lots of eye candy to be seen! Afterwards we took a wander around and I snapped some pics of the colourful houses in the area. Colour blocking at it's best which is of course a big trend in fashion at the moment too. It made me think of Liz from Late Afternoon, one of my favourite blogger fashionistas. She has a knack for wearing the boldest colours and combining them perfectly. What do think about this trend? I'd love to know!

Sarah Ord Interiors

The upper end of Bree Street in Cape Town is definitely turning into a bit of a décor haven and the latest addition is Sarah Ord Interiors. Interior decorator Sarah Ord has created a small shop to showcase her beautiful new fabric range and furniture pieces. Her Tesserae fabric range consists of two designs, Palma and Ravello, which are available in three colour ways. The curtains are made up in Palma, a gorgeous wide chevron design, aren't they just fabulous? And the Ravello design is inspired by the Mediterranean tiles of the Italian Amalfi coast.

In addition to these designs, you'll find carefully selected homeware pieces and accessories such as lampshades and cushions covered in striking Ghanaian wax print fabrics, bold ceramic lampbases and unusual, once off pieces found on Sarah's travels. The shop has a vibrant and exotic feel to it, a wonderful mix of colour and different cultural influences, pop in for some serious inspiration!
