This week at The Cape Quarter Lifestyle Village you can expect to find a variety of fun pop-up design galleries and exhibitions to celebrate their 2nd anniversary. Plenty of amazing decor inspiration thanks to stylist, Tracy Lynch as well as workshops and a Neil Stemmet book launch. Don't forget to check out the latest Old Mac Daddy Airstream trailer, which is getting totally revamped on site with a tight budget and 10 day deadline! So plenty of reasons to get down there! Have you heard about 91 Magazine yet?! Just launched this week by the talented Caroline of Patchwork Harmony, it is a quarterly mag for the vintage style and craft lover. It is beautifully put together with lovely photography, ideas, projects and reading. Definitely go check it out! I'm dying to try and make their paper cup fairy lights!

Kamers vol geskenke 2011

Yesterday I took a trip out to Lourensford Wine Estate in Somerset West where the 9th Kamers Vol Geskenke is taking place. Kamers Vol Geskenke literally means Rooms full of gifts and that's exactly what you'll find. Amazing handmade and crafted products from jewellery, clothing and homeware to gifts, stationery, food and drinks. Everything is beautifully presented and put together beneath a gorgeous mountain backdrop. There is really so much on offer, I had to refrain from buying too much! It wasn't easy, I can tell you! Kamersvol is on until this Saturday, so get down there and enjoy the creative and inspiring atmosphere and do a little shopping while you're at it!

Cape Town is WDC2014!

Exciting news this morning, if you haven't already heard... Cape Town has been awarded the World Design Capital for the year 2014! Well done Cape Town, we're all so excited here in the mother city this morning!

A little while ago I got to visit the lovely Pink & Posh studio, meet the owner Lara and eat pretty cupcakes, what a great morning! Pink & Posh specialises in vinyl wall art for both kiddies and adults so you'll find cute, whimsical designs and more quirky, humorous ones too. They're easy to apply and affordable so they make great gifts and of course they're also fabulous for a quick decor fix!

Orange crush

Morning friends! Hope you all had a great weekend! So it's back to normal here on the blog after the week of Stellenbosch gems. I hope I've sold you on Stellenbosch as it really is a special place! What with Halloween coming up, I've been seeing plenty of orange decor and pumpkin inspiration around on the web. I thought I'd do a little orange inspired palette to get you in the mood. I'm mad about this vibrant colour as long as it's in moderation!

Lastly I had to share this outdoor setting with it's splashes of orange. I love the mismatched chairs, the simple runner and then the bright colours brought in through the plates and flowers. Just beautiful. I can imagine this setting, with the addition of a few pumpkins, to be a perfect and rather stylish Halloween setting.
